I started my teaching career at Immanuel Lutheran School and Church upon graduating from Concordia University, Ann Arbor, Mi. After four years in Bay City, I received a call to Suburban Bethlehem. I now am starting my 33rd year at Suburban Bethlehem. During this time, I earned my Master’s in Education through Ball State University. In 2018, I was asked to become interim principal. I went back to school and received my Building Administrator’s license through Indiana Wesleyan University. Beyond school, I spend my time with my very supportive husband, Rich Greener, my step-daughter Olivia, our two dogs, Dash and Diesel and several outside barn cats. Suburban Bethlehem is my home, and I am thankful for the members of my church family, the talented staff that I have the privilege to work with each day, and the kids and families of this place.

Pastor Bill serves our Lord as Senior Pastor of Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church and School. He is married to Julie and they have two children, Sarah and Nicholas. He enjoys seeing people connected to God's grace in Jesus Christ.
Patty Macke

Patty is excited to be working with SBLS as their Admissions Counselor and Office Manager. She has been married to Brian for 34 years and they have 2 daughters Paige and Brooke, son-in-laws Derrek & Austin. She enjoys traveling with her family and spending time with her 3 grandkids Salem, Kolson and Dawson. Patty and her family have been members of SBL Church and School since 2000. "I love the opportunity to share all the great things our school has to offer."
Lauren Johnston

Lauren serves as our School Secretary at SBLS. She is married to her husband, Andy, and together they have four dogs: Blaze, Slate, Oakley and Aspen. She enjoys seeing the students as they enter our school and being able to interact with anyone who walks through SBLS' front door. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, and spending time with her husband, dogs and family!
Terri Hobbs

Mrs. Hobbs is the Lead teacher/director of our Pre-school program and teaches all day PreK. She is Married to Gary and they have a married son Zach and a daughter in law Ashley. Grandchild consists of a dog Ebbie. (Pride and Joy) She loves her baby Brody (sheltie) and the kids she has been blessed to have in her program past and present! 🙂
Mrs. Kaylah Calle is the Preschool 4 teacher for the Monday, Wednesday, and Friday class. This is her first year at Suburban Bethlehem, but her 3rd year teaching in Lutheran School. She graduated from Concordia University Chicago in 2021. She previously taught at Immanuel Lutheran School and Rockford Lutheran Academy. She married her husband Mateo in the summer of 2023. Her hobbies include playing sports, card games, outdoor activities, and baking.
Stephanie Mertens

I am excited to see what this year holds working with my 3 year old's class and their unpredictable personalities and adventurous hearts.
I have worked in other positions through out the last few years at SBLS. Last year I worked with the 3/4 split class. Prior to that I worked in the kitchen. I have been familiar with the school since all our children have attended SBLS since preschool. We have four beautiful children that keep us on our toes everyday and am thankful for being blessed with them. My husband and I have been married for 13 years. In my spare time, I enjoy my photography business and cherish capturing all those moments in people's lives that they hold so close to their heart.
Ellen Gottschalk

Ellen Gottschalk serves as our Kindergarten teacher. She and her husband, Dan have been blessed with 4 children who keep them busy. She enjoys reading, gardening and caring for 8 chickens.

Kirsten Braun teaches Kindergarten at Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran School. Kirsten graduated from Purdue Fort Wayne in 2023 and began her teaching career here at SBLS. Kirsten enjoys traveling, going to concerts, reading books, and watching baseball. She spends her spring at Trine University watching her boyfriend play baseball. Kirsten is so excited to see how her students will grow academically and in their faith with Jesus. She is also so excited to learn from all the different educators in this great school.
Marissa Moffitt

Marissa Moffitt has been a Lutheran school teacher since 2002. Marissa graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2002. Her first call to serve the Lord was to the “dry” heat of Arizona where she met her husband, Frank. They were married in 2004. She has a son, Mason, who is in high school and a daughter, Molly, who is in eighth grade at SBLS. In her free time she loves to swim, knit, but most of all spend time with her family!
Stacie Gass

Stacie Gass teaches second grade at Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran School. She has also been a member of Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church for over 16 years. She is married to her husband Kevin and they have 3 boys, Keaton, Carson, and Cohen. She loves spending time with her family and watching her boys play sports. She also enjoys sharing Jesus with her students and watching their faith grow!
Deb Honn

Deb Honn teaches third grade at Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran School. Deb has been a teacher for 29 years. She is married to Jerry and they have two daughters, Jenni and Ashley and four step-children. Both girls are married, and Deb has two grandchildren and 11 step-grandchildren. She spends her free time enjoying water sports, but mostly spends her time watching her grandkids play sports. Both her children and her grandchildren have attended Lutheran Schools. Her greatest joy is interacting with all children!

Timothy Moses is currently in his 5th year of Christian Education, all at Suburban Bethlehem. He is involved in athletics as the boy's soccer and boy's varsity basketball coach. He enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Lisa Brindle

Mrs. Brindle currently serves SBLS as the 5th grade homeroom teacher.
She has been married to Gabe Brindle for 19 years and they have 3 children (Paige, Jonah, and Hudson). She and her family love to go on camping trips together. Mrs. Brindle also loves to garden and bake!
Vera Abresch

Vera Abresch is the co-homeroom teacher for the 6th grade at Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran School. She teaches 5th-8th grade science and 8th Algebra. She works to inspire a love of science and the wonder of God’s creation in our universe. She has 3 grown sons and a grandson and enjoys hiking, reading and watching movies. She is an active member of Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church and enjoys sharing her faith with others.
Dan Gottschalk

Mr. G serves SBLS as our 5th grade homeroom and Social Studies instructor, and also teaches PE in grades K, 5-8 and Art in grades 6, 7, & 8.
As Athletic Director, he oversees our school's sports team activities throughout the year. He is married to a wonderful Kindergarten teacher who together have three daughters and a son.
Mr. G also referees soccer games, runs trails, attempts woodworking projects, and works hard at training his two energetic canines.
Mike Dahnke

Mr. Dahnke is in his first year teaching at Suburban Bethlehem this year after previously teaching 16 years at Emmaus Lutheran. Mr. D. is our 7A Homeroom teacher and currently teaches English, Literature and Math. God has richly blessed him with his wonderful wife, Amanda and their two kids, Alexander and Zoe. Mr. D. finds joy in getting students to think and to laugh. He also enjoys coaching, learning and playing video games.
Melissa is the 8th grade homeroom teacher. She teaches history, English, and art classes. She and her husband have two young children. She enjoys reading and gardening in her spare time.
Aaron Barnholt

Mr. Barnholt is in his 14th year here at Suburban Bethlehem. He is currently teaching middle school math, all of the technology classes, 5th grade leadership and sixth-grade religion class. The highlight of his school year is spending time at Camp Lutherhaven with his students.
Lindsey Noll

Mrs. Noll supports students in kindergarten through fifth grade. She previously spent ten years teaching in the public education system. Lindsey is married to her husband Matt and they are blessed with three incredible children. She is a former college athlete who loves all things sports and working on her family farm. She is a proud alumni of SBLS and was baptized into the church as an infant so she finds it very rewarding to be serving in the same school and church that she grew up in.
Karen Bieberich

Mrs. Bieberich serves as the resource teacher for grades K-8. Karen and her husband, Eric, have three children, Grace (23), Noah (19), and Luke (16). Karen grew up in Chicago and has lived in Fort Wayne for 20 years.
Miranda Kennedy

Miranda serves SBLS as a resource teacher and also teaches Kindergarten through 3rd grade technology classes and preschool, 1st, and 4th grade gym. She loves that she gets to know and connect with kids of all ages at our school. Her favorite part of her job is watching the kids learn to be kind and caring individuals as they grow. Miranda is blessed to have a wonderful family, supportive friends, and a sweet dog, Finn that she enjoys spending time with outside of school. On days off, Miranda can be found at the library, her favorite coffee shop, or on her porch soaking up the sun and fresh air with a good book in her hand.
Jane Koehler

This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
Jane serves as the Title One teacher for the lower grades. After graduating from Concordia University Chicago, she taught in Lutheran Schools for 6 years in Loveland, Colorado and Glenview, Ill. She stayed home to raise her 5 children. She then taught in Belvidere, Illinois public schools for 20 years as a Special Education teacher for preschoolers and Resource Teacher for lower grades, Upon retirement she taught at Immanuel Lutheran School in Belvidere as their Resource Teacher for 2.5 years. She recently moved back to Ft Wayne with her husband Joel to be near 3 of their children and 2 grandchildren. Jane likes to garden and read. She and her husband enjoy watching and attending sporting events.
Kathryn Peperkorn

Kathryn is excited to share her love for music with the students of Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran School. Kathryn has taught in many places, Texas, Wisconsin, California and now here for the second time. She taught at Holy Cross and IPFW 25 years ago!! Kathryn also has enjoyed a career singing in opera, and directing and producing opera's, musicals and plays for students of all ages. She has 4 children, 2 in college and 2 at Concordia High School. She loves to camp, play with her dogs, read, and travel. Mrs. Peperkorn's husband Todd, is a pastor who is now serving as a professor at Concordia Theological seminary.

Pastor Alex has served the Lutheran Church for nearly 40 years as teacher, principal, and pastor. He has a heart for Lutheran Schools and the faith development of children and finds great joy in hearing children of God, young and old, share their faith in their Savior Jesus. He has been married for over 35 years to his lovely wife, Meri. They celebrate their four children (now married adults):Jenna, Rebecca, Kyle and Kurtis and two grandchildren, Ava and Camden, who give them great joy. Michelle Schultz

Michelle serves as Deaconess at Suburban Bethlehem and teaches 7th
grade confirmation. She is married to her husband Andy and together
they love spending time outdoors. She enjoys seeing people grow in
their faith through divine worship.
Stephanie Wilson

Stephanie Wilson is the lead cook at SBLS. She has worked in various positions in the school for the last five years and has been a member of the church congregation for seven years. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her daughter, reading, baking, and doing crafts.
Kathy loves children and is excited to be working with SBLS as their Latchkey Director. She has been married to Jim for over 25 years and she is the mother to 3 children they have together - Megan, Charlie & Brayden as well as 2 stepsons – Josh & Travis. She enjoys camping, aviation and traveling with her family. She also has 2 granddaughters Stella and Aspen that she LOVES hanging out with as they hold such a big piece of her heart. Kathy grew up in Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church & School. She attended SBLS from 3 year old Nursery school through 8th grade and was baptized, confirmed and married at SBLC. She has also had children baptized at SBLC and attend SBLS. “I am looking forward to getting to know our students especially with all the new families we have this year!”
